Dubai builds its bridges to be looked at, and the best time to look is as the sun goes down. Pickup is at four, and the first crossing is the Meydan Bridge, whose arches light up after dark and make it one of the most photographed crossings in the city.
Then on foot along the Dubai Water Canal, the man-made waterway that runs from Business Bay to the sea: past Tolerance Bridge, a curving footbridge that glows at night, to the waterfall that pours from the Sheikh Zayed Road bridge into the canal. The evening ends with a slow drive down Sheikh Zayed Road itself, the towers lit on both sides, before you are dropped back at your hotel.

No. Despite the name, this is a drive and a walk: the car crosses the bridges and you walk the canal promenade on foot.
When is the light best?
Sunset moves between about half past five in winter and a quarter past seven in summer; the walk is timed to catch the bridges as they light up, and your driver adjusts the pickup to the season.
Can we change the order or add a stop?
