The full Dubai hit-list (Burj Khalifa, the Palm, Marina and the souks) with door-to-door transfers. This is a fully private experience in Dubai: your own vehicle, your own driver-guide, and an itinerary that flexes on the day.
One price covers the whole vehicle for up to 7 guests: bring the family and the price does not move. Allow about 10 hours. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included.
The city rewards a private pace: photo stops the coaches skip, cafés your driver actually rates, and the freedom to linger where the group tours look at their watches. The itinerary is a spine, not a cage.
Practicalities, handled: your driver's WhatsApp arrives the evening before with the exact pickup time; the vehicle carries chilled water and chargers; timings flex on the day if a flight, a nap or a whim demands it. Free cancellation up to seven days before; rescheduling always free, and you can pay on the day.

Your day, stop by stop
Around 08:00 · Out of the capital
Your driver-guide collects you in our Toyota Fortuner and points it up the E11, about 90 minutes to Dubai. The plan for the day is agreed in the car, over coffee if you like. This is a private tour; the route bends to you.
Mid-morning · Dubai before the towers
Start in Al Fahidi's wind-tower lanes, then cross the Creek by wooden abra with the commuters. The spice and gold souks fill the rest of the morning. Doing the old city first means cooler air and calmer alleys.
Around 13:00 · Downtown
Burj Khalifa from the ground (or from the top, if we have pre-booked your slot) with the fountain lake and Dubai Mall alongside. Lunch is wherever suits you, from food hall to white tablecloth. Your guide knows the honest options.
Afternoon · The Palm
The drive up the Palm's trunk with Atlantis at the crown, and a stop at the boardwalk viewpoint for the photo everyone wants. It is stranger and bigger in person than in pictures. Around an hour, unless you linger.
Late afternoon · Marina and JBR
The skyscraper canyon of Dubai Marina and a stroll along the JBR waterfront. This is Dubai at its most relaxed: beach, promenade, coffee. A good place to let the day breathe.
Early evening · The fountain, if it fits
Fountain shows typically run in the evening, so if the timing works we position you lakeside for one before leaving. It is short, free and better than it has any right to be. Then the car is waiting.
The drive home
Around 90 minutes back to Abu Dhabi, door to door. Most guests are asleep before Ghantoot. Expect a ten-to-twelve-hour day in total, depending on the fountain decision.
Insider tips
- If you want to go up the Burj Khalifa, pre-book the sunset slot well ahead: it is the first thing to sell out.
- Carry small notes in cash for the abra crossing and souk haggling; cards work in shops, but bargaining is a cash sport.
- Do the old city in the morning: cooler air, quieter souks and better light in the lanes. Everyone who does it at 3pm regrets it.
- The Palm photo you want is from the boardwalk looking back at Atlantis, not from the car.
- Be ruthless about Dubai Mall. Unless shopping is the point, it is an hour the fountain and the souks spend better.
Questions, answered
Are Burj Khalifa tickets included?
Attraction tickets are not automatically included, but we can pre-book At the Top for a slot that fits the route; tell us when you book the tour. Sunset slots sell out well ahead, so decide early. The view from the ground costs nothing and is still remarkable.
Is one day really enough for Dubai?
Enough for the hit-list (old city, Burj Khalifa, the Palm and the Marina) done properly rather than at a jog. It is not enough for theme parks or serious shopping. If you want those, look at our multi-day Dubai packages instead.
Can we change the itinerary?
Yes. It is a private tour and the route is yours. Your guide will be honest about the traffic mathematics of any change, because Dubai distances deceive. Swapping a stop is easy; adding three is not.
Do you fit child seats?
Yes, child seats are fitted in the Fortuner on request. Just tell us ages when booking. The day works well for children, with the abra and the fountain as reliable favourites. Nap time in a quiet car is also underrated.
Is there a dress code?
Dubai is relaxed, but covering shoulders and knees is respectful in the souks and older quarters. No mosque visit is on the standard route unless you request one, in which case modest dress applies and we will brief you. Comfortable shoes matter more than anything.
What time do we get back to Abu Dhabi?
Typically ten to twelve hours after pick-up, depending on whether we stay for a fountain show. If you have a dinner booking, tell your guide in the morning and the day is cut to fit. The drive back is around 90 minutes.
What happens after you book
You get a confirmation straight away, with the reference and everything included in writing.
The evening before, your driver messages you on WhatsApp with the exact pickup time and their name.
On the day they are early, the water is cold, and the plan bends to you. Pay then, or in advance: your call.

This is not the hotel lobby bird on a stand with a queue behind you: it is five hours in the conservation reserve with the falconer who flies these birds, a glove on your hand and hawks, eagle owls and a peregrine working properly. Falconry is the one Emirati tradition that never became a performance, and an hour of the falconer's answers is worth more than the photograph.
