DXB layover? See Downtown and the Palm and be back for boarding, guaranteed timings. This is a fully private experience in Dubai: your own vehicle, your own driver-guide, and an itinerary that flexes on the day.
One price covers the whole vehicle for up to 7 guests: bring the family and the price does not move. Allow about 5 hours. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included.
The city rewards a private pace: photo stops the coaches skip, cafés your driver actually rates, and the freedom to linger where the group tours look at their watches. The itinerary is a spine, not a cage.
Practicalities, handled: your driver's WhatsApp arrives the evening before with the exact pickup time; the vehicle carries chilled water and chargers; timings flex on the day if a flight, a nap or a whim demands it. Free cancellation up to seven days before; rescheduling always free, and you can pay on the day.

Your day, stop by stop
Before you fly · We build the plan around your boarding pass
You send us your flight numbers and we work backwards from your onward departure, with a fixed safety buffer we will not negotiate with. If your inbound flight drifts, we already know; we track it from the moment it takes off. Your driver-guide is at DXB before you clear the airbridge.
Wheels down · Meet at arrivals
Your driver-guide waits at the arrivals exit with a name board and cold water in the Toyota Fortuner. Luggage goes in the boot and stays locked there all tour: no dragging cases through Dubai Mall. We are moving within minutes of you clearing immigration.
First stop · Downtown and the tallest building on earth
Sheikh Zayed Road delivers you straight into the forest of towers, with the Burj Khalifa growing absurdly as you approach. We stop at the fountain lake for the classic base-to-tip photograph, and walk a stretch of the Downtown boulevard. On evening layovers, we time it so you catch the fountain performing.
Second act · The Palm from the ground
We drive the trunk of Palm Jumeirah out to the Atlantis end, the only way to feel how strange the island really is. There are two or three reliable photo stops, and your guide knows which one is empty at that hour. The boardwalk view back across the water to the Marina skyline is the one people keep.
Final leg · Marina, then eyes on the clock
A slow pass through Dubai Marina, on foot if time allows, with the towers stacked overhead. From here your guide is quietly counting minutes; this is the part of the job we take most seriously. You will not be the one deciding when to head back; that is our call, made early.
Buffer intact · Back at DXB with time to spare
We drop you at your exact terminal with the agreed buffer untouched, typically well before the check-in cutoff. If anything on the roads had threatened it, we would have trimmed sights, not safety margin. You board rested rather than rattled.
Insider tips
- Book before you fly, not after you land: matching a driver to a flight already in the air rarely ends well.
- Use the smart gates if your passport qualifies; ten minutes saved at immigration is ten more at the Palm.
- Keep a light layer handy: between aircraft, Fortuner and mall, you will be in air conditioning for most of five hours.
- On evening tours, ask your guide to sequence Downtown last so you catch the fountain lit rather than in daylight.
- If you are short on time at the Palm, take the boardwalk viewpoint and skip the Atlantis lobby: the outside is the show.
Questions, answered
How long does my layover need to be?
We suggest at least seven to eight hours between landing and onward departure. That leaves roughly five hours of actual touring once you allow for immigration both ways and our return buffer. With less than six hours on the ground we will tell you honestly what has to be cut, usually the Marina.
Do I need a visa to leave the airport?
That depends entirely on your passport: many nationalities receive a visa on arrival at DXB, others must arrange one in advance. Please check your own eligibility before booking, as we cannot arrange visas or intervene at immigration. If you cannot exit, the tour cannot run.
What happens to my luggage?
Checked-through bags stay with the airline, and cabin luggage rides locked in the Fortuner's boot for the whole tour. The car is never left unattended with your bags inside while you are away from it. Keep passports, boarding passes and valuables on your person: airport rules, and ours.
Can you guarantee I won't miss my flight?
We plan backwards from your boarding time with a fixed buffer, track your flights live, and cut sightseeing rather than margin if traffic misbehaves. What no operator controls is the immigration queue on your return, which is why the buffer is generous. In years of layover tours, the buffer has done its job.
Can we go up the Burj Khalifa?
On longer layovers, yes: the observation deck needs a pre-booked time slot and swallows around ninety minutes all-in. Tell us when you book and we will build the itinerary around your slot. On a tight layover we would honestly steer you away from it; the queue risk is not worth the view.
My layover is overnight. Is a night tour worth it?
Arguably better. The fountain shows run through the evening, the Burj Khalifa and Marina are lit, and the roads are empty, so you see more in less time. Dubai after dark in an air-conditioned car is also the correct answer to a summer layover.
What happens after you book
You get a confirmation straight away, with the reference and everything included in writing.
The evening before, your driver messages you on WhatsApp with the exact pickup time and their name.
On the day they are early, the water is cold, and the plan bends to you. Pay then, or in advance: your call.
