This day is built backwards from the evening. Pickup is at ten, so nobody is rushed and the fountains are still ahead when the afternoon ends. The morning covers the Dubai Frame and the Museum of the Future for photographs, then the coast: Jumeirah Beach Road past the Burj Al Arab and out along Palm Jumeirah for the full view of the island, before a long lunch in Dubai Marina.

- The best free view of the fountain is from the lakeside promenade by the Souk Al Bahar bridge.
- The mall is very large: agree a meeting point with your driver before you go in.

Tickets are not included, but a sunset slot at the top fits this day well. Book it for late afternoon and tell us the time, and your driver will plan the afternoon around it.
Is nine hours a long day?
